Welcome to Collar City Animal Hospital of Troy, NY located at 499 2nd Ave Collar city animal hospital was originally founded as Lansingburgh Veterinary hospital in the 1970’s and has provided continuous veterinary care to the community for over 40 years. In 2006, Dr. Kimberly Linendoll acquired the practice and since then has slowly modernized and evolved the practice into the current Collar City Animal Hospital. In 2014, the practice was moved into a new, large, state of the art facility in a lovingly renovated 235 year old building (formerly the Old Daley Inn Restaurant) in the historic Lansingburgh district of Troy.

We are a full-service animal hospital whose mission is to provide the highest standard of veterinary care for your all of your pets. We strive to provide an environment that minimizes any fear or stress or anxiety that you and your pet may experience during your visit. We believe each of our patients are unique individuals and customize our approach to each patient based on their medical, behavioral and emotional needs. Our team members are all compassionate and knowledgable professionals that are animal lovers and owners themselves with a keen interest in helping you and your pets get the best medical care in the most supportive environment possible. At Collar City Animal Hospital we treat each patient as if they were our own and every owner like family.

Diagnostic Testing - A large part of the information we gather to diagnose and treat your pet comes from testing of blood, urine, fecal samples and tissue samples. Our in-house laboratory is able to give us quick information on a variety of tests. We also rely on a veterinary commercial lab with extremely high quality standards and several pathologists we can consult with.

Radiology and Imaging – Taking a radiograph is often the first tool we use to look inside the body. The doctors here at Collar City Animal Hospital interpret the films we take but we also refer all films to a board-certified veterinary radiologist for interpretation. When ultrasounds are required, we have a radiologist come to the clinic to perform them or refer patients to a nearby specialty center. We also can refer patients for procedures such as CT scans or MRI’s when appropriate.

We are proud to provide Troy, and surrounding communities with state-of-the-art veterinary surgical procedures. We believe in utilizing the highest level of medical technology, and our surgeons are experienced and highly trained.

We also realize that it can be stressful to have your pet undergo surgery. We want to assure you that your pet is in good hands, and that we will do everything to provide the best care possible.

We will communicate with you about the things you need to know before, during, and after your pet's surgery. It is our goal to make the entire process go smoothly and to eliminate the stress and worry of surgical procedures. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us today.
