SUPPORT STAFF

Christine Saddlemire

Christine is the very familiar voice on the phones at Collar City AH.  Her sunny disposition has graced our phones and front desk for several years.  She has a degree in accounting from HVCC but her true love has always been Veterinary Medicine. From an early age she has worked in every aspect of a veterinary hospital from kennel assistant to office manager.  Her exceptional communication skills  are invaluable to both our clients and staff, helping to eliminate or address any misunderstandings or issues that arise.  Her relaxed and welcoming personality helps make our clients feel more at home.  She  and her husband are the very proud parents of one daughter that they spend as much time with as possible. They seem to have something to do every weekend from Pug Lovers Festivals  to Agility Training/Competitions to museums and day trips around the area.  Though the Pug seems to get all the attention  there is also a much doted upon Golden Retriever, Paris, a very good looking cat, Levi, and a very pretty but a little spicy cat named Sophie.

Paige D’Aiuto

Paige is a Licensed Veterinary Technician who got her degree in Veterinary Science at SUNY Suffolk in Long Island.  She has a strong interest in animal issues and expanded her knowledge of them at HVCC  studying Animal Law and Advocacy.  Paige brings a positive, cheery attitude paired with exceptional compassion and knowledge. She enjoys talking to clients in general but especially enjoys helping them better understand health and medical issues about their pets.  She has outstanding technical skills that make her patient’s experience with her as stress and pain free as possible.   She truly enjoys her job and cares deeply about her patients.  When not at work, Paige is an active animal advocate that enjoys spending as much time as possible with her absolutely adorable little girl.  She also shares her house with King her good looking lab mix, Mr. Man and Fancy her two cats, and Coco her Goldfish.  Her Quarter Horse Lacy unfortunately does not quite fit in the house with the rest of the family so Paige and her daughter visit her as much as possible where she lives in Cambridge.

 Karen Cukrovany

Karen brings a very diverse background in the animal field with her.  She grew up on a Gentleman’s farm where her father was an active and very well respected breeder and trainer of German Shepards.  She learned the basics of animal behavior and her love of animals from him.   She went on to work at several veterinary clinics as a Veterinary Assistant as well as trained as  and worked as a groomer.  This lead her to the Mohawk Hudson River Humane Society where she Temperament Tested adoptive dogs to help match them with appropriate adopters.  She has worked as a Client Service Representative at Collar City for many years and excels at making both patients and clients feel comfortable and at home.  She and her husband share a passion for the outdoors, spending as many hours as possible fishing ( all are catch and release!), camping, boating and taking long walks.  Her Grandchildren are with her as much as possible, which can never be enough according to her!  Gomer is her Standard Poodle, Mandy is her old lady poodle mix, Big is her very appropriately named boy cat and  Jazzmyn is her sassy girl cat.  There are always a few chickens around as well.
